On 17 Aug 2010 at 0645 hrs got call from ACCD that there is a Tanker Accident and Chemical Spill at Ghatkopar Eastern Express Highway.
Myself reached incident location at 0720hrs and joined the Police and Fire Bridage Team present there. M(West), M(East) and N division CD volunteers too reached the incident location and controlled mob and traffic. There were total 36 CD volunteers who worked till rescue work was completed barring heavy rains,
At regular interval other rescue agencies too reached the incident spot and on 1155hrs complete rescue work was completed by NDRF with the help of all other agencies viz Police, Fire Brigade, HPCL, BPCL, BMC, Traffic & Civil Defence.
